Used car value for cars that are sold before or after the model year?

How do i determine used car value for cars that are on the road before the model year or after the model year.

I'm looking for value of a 06 model, that was on road starting 05, Jun. I got kelly blue book values but i believe they don't look at when the car was sold. They only look for mileage, options and model.

Thanks.|||the book changes every2 months and it reflects the current value|||It doesn't matter when it was on the road: the moment you drive off the lot is the moment it starts losing value. When you purchased it and drove it only has to do with the deal you orginally got when purchasing the car, not the deal you will get for resale.

Think of the people buying the car: are they REALLY going to care that it's an 06 model that you purchased in 2005? No. They want to know the make and model, the mileage, and how long you've had it.|||Many 06 models were sold in 05. That's the way it works every year. The blue book value is one good way to value it.
